This work is absolutely brilliant, and even more so as an entry in the Fubin Anthology. The only flaw is the forceful insertion of smut in this, which fundamentally disrupts everything from narration to characterization, otherwise I find this oneshot one of the most charming and pitiful ones which I have read in a long, long, long time. The narrative flow and consistency are riveting, and the artwork simply adds to it. Furthermore, the dialogues, and monologues, are quite aptly placed throughout the manga.
That’s why I just find it such a pity (pun intended) that all of other works by Sakurabi (up until February 2019) are, to put to it quite simply, complete and utter trash as Sakurabi's mistake of inserting smut forcefully continues to plague all of her other works.

This is the only one I've read so far and I did so before I came to baka and saw that it was actually a part of this compilation. Well, I'm glad this one wasn't a tragedy.

The story is very adorable. Of course, not a new or ground breaking one, but still very adorable. It made me cry from the start to the end and has a very heart warming feel to it. I personally rarely run into manga like this so I had this mix of happiness and tears. It might have been done numerous times before but tbh, I can read this sort of oneshot over and over again and still not get tired of them. Definitely worth trying if you want to read something innocent and refreshing just for a change.

edit: i only read kosha ura no natsu (story 8) by sakurabi hashigo since that was a oneshot on its own but maybe later i'll read all the oneshots in this compilation if they're all as great as that one.
the art was so beautiful, the storyline was great and everything was extremely moving ;w;
