I can't get bored with this series

I do love one shots, even though some of them are not really well-executed in of plot and characters. But this one? I love this a lot. Can't get enough. All of the stories have the fluffiness and sweetness as a high school romance shojo manga. There's not too much drama, and the stories and chatacters was well-written too. I like the concept of this compilation of one shots. It helps to build the universe of the story very well (the school, the town, etc).

Definetely one of my favorite shojo manga.

Lack of a main character pulls the series down

So i finished Haruyuki bus. Its a pretty short 4 volume series. Its basically a one shot collection set in the same universe with the theme revolving around the bus. You know falling in love on the bus. Protecting against molesters, stuff like that. But i don't really think the author did anything unqiue with the bus concept itself. It could've easily been a train and it wouldn't have mattered. Now what i liked about the series is pretty my the cute fluffiness. It was sweet it was adorable. Not every one shot was good not every one shot was memorable. None of them were bad but only 2 of them really stood out. Most cuz of the double pages. The series was sweet with nice characters but because partly cuz it was like a one shot it just wasn't memorable. With no main character there 40 pages just weren't enough for me to really get hyped with someone love story till maybe like the end. Maybe i just didn't like it enough or the author's quality of a writer just wasn't that good. Overall though a short and sweet story involving some cute character and adorable kiss scenes. The last chapter was the best one though. 6/10

This is not a compliment, necessarily. It is my damning praise. You will get all the lighthearted fluffiness that so entices the pining maiden within us all, but with it comes the shallowness and brainlessness that a work can ever evoke. Newcomers to shoujo romance will be satisfied, but anyone who has read enough entries in the genre will be left wanting.

The perfect entry point and exit point for those who want to know what shoujo is all about.

I loved this series and craved for more.
Some of these storys are so amazing I just wish they weren't oneshots and were actual manga series.
The stories were heartwarming, cute, sweet, and simple.
Art is absolutely adorable. Characters are not annoying at all and are well built, most of the times.
Anyways, it deserves the rate 9. c:

They one shots were just too cute and heart warming! I kinda wish they had been longer. Either way the mangaka did an excellent job of making sweet, short and well drawn stories.

These oneshots were definitely really cute. Some of them were a bit heart-warming, and I did enjoy myself while reading them. However, pretty much all of the endings were really rushed. They just didn't fit properly, and it did take away from the stories. Good reads, though, overall. 🙂

The one at volume 03 called "The Stop Where I Wait for You" made me cry. So cute, and at the same time so sad. "A Girl's Special Seat" is heart warming. The "omake" closes everything with a golden key. The others are similar one way or another, but the little differences is what makes you going and having fun with light and cutesy one shots. The art is gorgeous and clean. In summary a great time reading for sure.

The reason why the people seem to fall in love quickly is because the volumes consist of oneshots only; however this doesn't put me off because it helps to keep the atmosphere relaxed and lighthearted, which is a good break from draggy, melodramatic shoujo stories. The art is cute and simple and really easy to like, and the stories are enjoyable to read. In my opinion, its a series worth spending your money on 🙂

Everything that Usami Maki draws is so adorable and sweet and just makes me smile to read. I'm glad she's catching scanlation groups' attention again lately. Sure, maybe it's unrealistic to fall in love so easily but the story is just so simple and nice I can't help but love it. (anyway, it's not exactly that the characters fall in love but more that they catch each others' attentions, and where it may go from there is left open (at the end of the first story at least))

I also wanted to mention the new release by BCT is really shiny and pretty to look at. They've got some very high quality raw source. Since I can't leave a comment on their page directly because they haven't got one, I wanted to say my thank-you here for picking up the project!

I hate translating myself, I’m still a begginer for gods sake... ¬¬
Too bad there's only 4 volumes... I wish there was more...
