not really recommended for those who has watched the show, because it's really just too IDENTICAL
their faces, their habit, their behaviour, even the words they are speaking in this manga!!! (the only difference is john has some inner speaking for himself)
the art is also.. not bad, but also cant be said amazing, it seems there is something lacked but still enjoyable
well, cant say too much for this manga for now, since there is only chp 1, but actually recommended for sherlock's fan that prefer manga than the bbc series, but if i have to compare both of them, i'd still chose the tv series
This is more of a spoiler so yea. I based this review on the 6 episodes that were released, so i hope this adaptation lives up to the show.
This series gives you a more recent timeline. And while everything seems updated, the storyline of the show follows closely to the the original written material, while giving its own little twist. When I watched the first episode, i was rather skeptic with how Holmes didnt look like how i imagined him to be, but from the first moment he gave his deduction regarding Watson, my soul sank back to the days where i read the novels. The conjectures he give are really amazing, unlike the Anerican Holmes of 'Elementary', where he simply guesses like any detective on a CSI show. Doesn't stand a chance next to this. And the little quirk where Watson writes his blog, as oppose to Sir Conan who identifies himself with Watson as he writes the novel.
Hope this series adapts well. But in all honesty, watch the show, it'll wrack ur brain and grasp ur soul.
