This manga started out so adorable!! The children are so cute! I wish the protagonist's love life would pick up the pace though.... it's gotten to the point where I get bored reading the manga. It's moving so slow!!!! The twins’ cuteness can't even make up for it at this point.... Which is sad because I really liked this manga in the beginning.

People have problems with the manga's 'slowness' but I really enjoy how the focus isn't just on romance. Sure, the kids are perhaps unrealistically easy to manage but nevertheless the manga is very well done. Shiharu develops as a character and there are secondary characters you actually care about. It makes a refreshing change from the standard shoujo in that it doesn't depict women as constantly at each other's throats. Also, Matsunaga is not just a cardboard cut-out bishie and experiences reservations about being attracted to a girl so many years his junior, as you would expect in real life circumstances. Recommended for sweetness and escapism.

I don't think this mangaka has kids or has even dealt with them for an extended period of time in her life. Her portrayal of how children behave is far too simplistic, and the kids are too well-behaved for toddlers. I understand that it's to make her seem like "the perfect babysitter" who never gets frustrated, but I would love for one of the kids to throw a huge tantrum and have her deal with some real problems for once, like gasp not knowing what to do, or having to actually punish them.
Also, the romance is so slow--

50 chapters in and neither one of the two has realized that they like the other

I like slow romance, but this is just too much.
I'll still keep following it though, because I have no life and I want to know how it turns out at the end. The art is cute too.

this manga is really slow , but for some reason, for me, it is a great manga to read. The manga's romance isnt rushed like other mangas and you can see cleary how each character grows... and yeah the girl is underage, thats why i think its a slow manga, they guy would probably wait until she graduates from highschool (what a nice and responsible person 😛 ).

I would totally recommend it 😀

As far as shoujo goes, it can't get much better than this. It has a lovely atmosphere and great characters, the pacing is a bit slow but with this kind of manga it's forgiving, it doesn't bore at all; it's so cute! It's definitely very different from the average shoujo, which makes for a memorable read. Highly recommended.

It should be a crime for every chapter to have at least two super-deformed babies running around mispronouncing words.
Occassionally it's annoying 😛
Also, Shiharu seemed to deal with most of the early problems the children presented by lying >.>
and the first few volumes always began with a recap about how she's an orphan.

AND, as someone brought up on the forums, after a while she's drawn as having a more round face and generally looking a LOT more like a child than before, whereas she started off looking very mature for her age.

Still, very cute.

EDIT: The dematurisation of the main character is really grating on me, so i'm lowering it from 8.6 to 7.6
EDIT 2: almost 9 years later
I was looking through the top rate manga on this site and saw that i'd put this series on hold, and was confused why as I ed really liking it.
Now I it's because the main character was made more and more juvenile/dematured over time. Which was counter to one of the most appealing parts of this manga, how mature for her age she was. :/
Maybe I'll go back to it now that it's finished.

For some reason I started this manga thinking it was finished, so I said, "Cool there's 42 chapters" and as I neared the end, I winded the story down, and it was a great ending. Rio and Tak are happy with their blossoming love, and it is eluded that Shi, the kids and their uncle will all end up happy together - but you can imagine it however you want. Maybe they'll just be friends, or the kids will leave and they'll move on. Perfect. Then I realized it's still on-going, so I have to painfully wait for the main couple to hook up still, and sit through Rio and Tak having stupid couple issues and possibly breaking up. Now I'm sad.

Also, I'd so rather this was one of the mangas where the main character ends up with the childhood friend that they never considered. Seriously, he's too cute.

It's alright. The drawings of the kids are definitely cute to read but the romance is slow, the girl is underage =_=. I mean here and there, the scenes are funny but majority of the time, it's very slow paced..

Ahhh!! This Manga is soo adorable! cx I really like it!, Matsunga and Shiharu needa bring up the pace! xc I RECOMEND IT! cx this book will surely make you feel very fluttery and FLUFFY!

This one is adorable!! The cuteness is at such a level it could kill and the characters are all so sweet and full of shoujo cuteness. The only thing is that I wish the protagonist's love life would pick up the pace, but the male lead is just as clueless as her thus it is not annoying whatsoever.
This one is a cavity creator as it is so sugary sweet!
