I kind of like Australia. It's an alright place, i even enjoy hearing Aussie accents on tv and stuff, they sound so loving and welcoming, hehe.
It makes my ears bleed D=
The common Australian accent is not what you hear in Hollywood and such. The stereotyped accent is the country accent, like Steve Irwin's...is not very common. His accent is actually isn't bad compared to the more common accent. The more common one would be, in my honest opinon, one of the most, if not the most, stupidest accent ever.
Every sentece sound like a question FFS!
Also, I heard that in America, Australia is ranked quite highly in of cheap internet. I say "WTF?" to that. Internet is as expensive as heck and it's not available everywhere =_=

I love my country.
I hate the people that run it.Über-Bump
Fix'd
Anyway, the people running my country are getting slowly better, so I don't hate that aspect as much as I use to. The six to eight month long winter can get quite annoying.

Its boring... here. I suppose it's better then the situations others live in, so I assume I sound like a douche, but really, I'd rather believe I belong to no country. Is that possible? Or legal.
I guess I am not one who enjoys being chained down to one thing. In fact, I hate it. I can't wait to move again. Maybe I'll move to another country.
Like Brazil. There are hot men there, right?

Your 3rd try is just what I try to express.I dont no how to say, thanx 4 ur help......
My love-hate to my country:
Love-hate-love.I am proud of being a Chinese.
I am living in China and I've never been to any other countries before.I was born and educated in China.I graduated from college 3 months ago.
I used to hate my country so much and I wished I were American (I hated manga or aneme that time).Because I listened to the VOA often and I found I didn't get enough info. about my country. For me,grass was always greener then. But for some people, they are over aware of their wealth. You no what I mean,we should hear from both sides.Things are never as bad as you think, and never as good as you think. You have to judge things objectively.
My country now does have many problems, like someone's Lanzhou experiences(though some of his problem is caused by altitude stress),we have eviromental problems in some places. And I am really tired of the public servants. Some of them always turn an exetremly bad attitude to us taxpayers like they were the emperors!!!!
But it has been making great progress, our living conditions, the economy and government system, enviromental issues, etc. That's applaudworthy.Every country needs to be thru a lot if it wants to make people satisfied.Human beings are always wanting more.
No matter what i do,and where i go,i never forget I am a Chinese.I love my country.I also love Japan(more than US 🙂 for their polite people and anime and thriving pop culture,I love America for I their fantastic movies(?).But it's different.Maybe shopping or 3-5-year-living in the two countries is a good cultural experience.

hmm, i'm back on this topic because i reallz think this is an important subject that causes a lot of problems.
Good luck PalaloEristin wherever you are. Sadly that description fits more than one country. I am happy a live in a rich country, and i know its pure luck i am.Damm, I've tried to write what i feel about countries but i can't get it across. This is my third try: A country is nothing more than a region that is run by a different goverment system. Thats all. Loving a country is pretty much loving a set of rules. History, cultur, language, food, all that is not bound by borders. Loving a country is about the same as loving your operating system. You need one, it can work well or not, sometimes it can't work because the hard ware is crap ( the situation is the country is crap ), some features you like, some you don't. This is sort of a plea for people to get less emotional about countries. Anyway, thanks for reading. I am deffinitly ready to disuss this if anybody wants to, i'm just not at home right now and don*t have al that much internet acces.

I like Bush,He is handsome and sexy~~~~~
Quote from ranmaru
yeah Bush isn't so popular, but that isn't a reason to hate your country.
@Stealth yeah it changed ALOT in the past ten years, but somethings never change, you know the problem here is that hardly anybody likes to read so manga isn't well known heck not even 1% know what manga is, and if otakus were around they're probably all anime otaku's, not that i mind anime, by the way what were you doing in kuwait ten years ago 1997 hmmm... at about that time alot malls were built.

Hell yeah, I love the USA. It has its fare share of idiots, but overall I can't think of many places I'd rather live at this point. Everything is so convenient here.

Poor New Zealand is so quiet and small...not to mention we're stuck in the corner of the map, where noone can see us... 🙄
But don't worry NZ, you have all my love to make up for it. 😃

I'm an Indonesian currently studying in Singapore. Although life here in S'pore is generally nicer (it's much much safer and cleaner), I still love my homeland more. Maybe because it's less 'strict', loosely speaking. I enjoy going to the Indonesian Embassy every year to take part in the flag-raising ceremony, and I feel proud of being Indonesian.
Though, in my country, the Chinese (as in race) are sometimes discriminated against. I think that's not very nice of the 'natives'...

Its complicated for me. See, I'm from Singapore. its a great country and all - uber public transportation, technology's every where, its really clean etc. But when you get older, you learn about all the government crap. You can't really get rich coz they just wanna suck it all up. And it REALLY REALLY sucks when you're a male and you get older coz theres national service. I migrated to australia when i was 13, but im still obligated to do it coz im still a singaporean citizen. I had to extend my port and they didnt let me leave coz apparently i committed a crime by not ing at 16....and i left at 13. They made up crap even though i told them my reasons and still i got punished (fined, put in a holding cell for like 20 mins). they didnt let me fly back for a week and i came to school late -_-. So yeah...i dont like my country MUCH.
Now i live in Victoria Australia. It's a good country and all...but technology's a little outdated here. And they can get very...snobbish(?) For example, we're in a drought and theres an option for new water(which is recycled water....and by that i mean recycled from human waste). Now, Ive tasted, showered in new water, but i aint dying. They're like, "EEEEW, I DONT WANNA DRINK MY ****!" like little children.
So overall...i dont really like where i live 😃
You live in Victoria, what do you expect. 😔

Oh yes i do, but i hate most of the people in it.
Seconded. And I never say the pledge at school. But thats cuz it says Under God in it. Which kinda goes against my beliefs. Not that I'm that much of a hardcore atheist. But still.
Forever lurking...
