Yeh, so far I'm not impressed after chapter 1...and this going to be a monthly manga? That's just kind of sad with it already being a short manga on a weekly basis now it's not even that much longer per dose but longer wait....
Though I'm going to wait for a little while to decide if it's going to be dropped from my reading list or not. I didn't particularly liked the SR end and was hoping something decent will come from Z...only time will tell I guess... 🙄

not so great its still the same nothing going on, plus major flaw was starting off with the stupid old era stuff, unless all of it will be like that, but i hated the old era stuff in the manga before too..
ill give thsi 5 chapters to make me like it if now, ill accept the first series final

Yeah, that first one was a bit of a disappointment. Hopefully it was just a wierd way to sum up the story of the old series as a stepping stone to the new one. If it's the pattern for the rest of this series though then it looks like it's time to find another series. 🤢

I loved Yakumo in the main series so i was looking forward to a story with some conclusion for her
truthfully i prefer any guy that yakumo falls for, so YakumoxHarima
so i hope school rumble will end properly, but at this rate, i highly doubt it

The only redeeming value in the first chapter was the comedy. It was pretty much the same comedy as usual, but for some reason it felt like its been a while since School Rumble displayed that kind of comedy (a lot of the last chapters were serious). But if the other chapters are going to be like this, it won't last. Pure comedy with no chance of an actual plot developing has no chance to have a long term outing.
And did anyone notice that it was a natural sign before the chapter number (♮1). If everyone re, the main plot of the original story had sharp signs before the chapter number (#), and the side stories had flat sign (b) and there was one side story with a natural sign (♮). I hope this doesn't mean that all these chapters are going to be side stories, or stories with the SR characters in an alternate reality.

I dont hitting Eri twice in SR manga though as he did in SRZ...Hitting a girl is not a good thing even if its meant for comedy purposes.

I don't really think it will retake School Rumble settings and give it a proper ending, but, who knows, it's School Rumble.

You're just nitpicking at little, frivolous things. What really made the chapter bad was the fact that it is just a side story/alternate reality of SR. The comedy wasn't bad, but if this is all SRZ is going to be, I wouldn't expect more than 3-4 chapters before it's dropped.
P.S.: I am a very chivalrous person, so any type of abuse to women (in real life or in manga) does bother me. But this wasn't even enough to make my chivalry senses blip. There's much worse manga out there (Ichi the Killer, Battle Royale, Beserk (or so I've heard), even Bitter Virgin).

Why is it that the guy never gets the girl he actually wants in manga? Anyway if the start of the manga is an alternate story, is there really any hope for school rumble. To me it feels like the mangaka lost interest and draws whatever comes to mind. I might read one or two more chapters but I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna stop reading it. 🙁
