Right now I am watching the anime and I just wanted to know how much of the manga does the anime cover? So like does it end like the manga or is it like Inuyasha where it covers a majority of it and ends without a finish to it? No spoilers please. 1c3641

The first season of Ranma 1/2 covers the first book of the manga. Its a pretty good series, there are a lot of similarity's and a lot of differences. Both are worthy of your time.

Well I was wondering cause I usually watch the anime then read the manga. Though in episode 15 of season 1 it showed a scene where Akane ed something where Ranma stood up for her and I was just wondering if that actual story was in the manga?

The entire series of ranma 1/2 covers up to volume 22 (japanese version) Part 6, "A dream Deferred" with the conclusion of Ranma's meeting of his mother Arc 1 Part 1.

note japanese version means 22/38 volumes not 22/36 volumes.

the OVA's cover other parts of the series after v22 with random selections like: "Shampoo's Sudden Switch - The Curse of the Contrary Jewel (Viz title: "Desperately Seeking Shampoo")" is volume 22 (japanese version) Part 7-10 where shampoo turns evil on ranma b/c of the reversal jewel and ends with akane confessing her true love for ranma because her emotions become amplified by the jewel that Mousee placed on her.

in epi 15 akane re that ranma said during the ice skating part (vol 3-4) that "Akane is my fiancée! Lay a lip on her and I'll kill you!" however in the anime, due to the need to introduce Shampoo as rival to end the series, the animation directors cut it out UNTIL the second season (01-03)
