As the title suggests, I suggest to get a rating for scanlation groups. Since their pages and the function already exists it just needs to be implemented in that page. f273f

It would be nice and useful for series that are translated to english by multiple groups. That way you don't have to check 2-3-4 websites and read the same chapter again and again untill you find the one that trully translates, not just uses a software. Also this would be good to filter the groups/persons that do this badly and promote the ones that make a good work with proof-reading, sfx translations/editing and so on.

The problem with the "bot" groups is that they spam new chapters of already taken/well translated series which get on the aggregate websites that take the first spots in search engines just because they post it early even though the translated chapter is giving godzilla a stroke when he tries to read it. This just steals readers/money from the ones that do a better job, which in return makes them use more ads/ask for money or even close their websites because even though the work is great, they get maybe 10% of the readers(even less) on their website while most of them go on the first site they get on google.

nah. most people who say something is a "good" translation can't actually tell because they don't know the language and are just saying that because they find the grammar and sentence structure to be natural. that's why there would be no integrity to the system. no one notices if the resulting "translation" changes a character's personality or even something big like the plot, yet they will still rate a scanlator highly based on grammar only. i see this happen so often i dont even bother correcting things because people will eat anything up. i've seen this with several manhwa scalation groups too. i one instance where a group sniped another group's unedited MTL. they had provided a more grammatically correct chapter so people were busy praising them saying there was a finally competent translator who knew both korean and english fluently and that the translators were so good only for that new group to it they were using MTL too 🤣 another MTL group got a proofreader and people were praising their improved "translation" only for them to be corrected by someone fluent. everything was completely wrong and it was like a fanfiction pasted into another person's drawings. and that fluent person was attacked for being mean to someone supposedly trying their hardest.
