People seem to want Zac Ephron for Light. I don't know how he acts so I can't say anything but aesthetically I can see it.)

Personally I dislike Death Note so I don't care but I love to hear the righteous indignation of anime fans.

As far as I know any movie that is based on games, books have s**ked a lot ( except for some exceptional ones like LOTR - 11 Oscars, Narnia, Eragon, Resident Evil. ).
I think this will go the same path as the general lot. Those who have not read it may like it but I presume the manga community may be disappointed in majority.
Anyway, who am I to judge it before watching it ? 😛

If Zac Efron plays as L, I will kill myself! 🤢 I will turn emo. Seriously he's no good to play a serious investigator like L and he's too preppy for that role. When girls see him, they think of High school musical which is gay, no offense that's what i think. I'm a death note fan so I will watch the American version just take that horrid guy out of the movie. 😃

Anyone is ok to play L, by my standards, as long as they are not Zac. People who want Zac as L are stupid. He's not the right actor for him. As for Light, he shouldn't play him either. 😀

I think that someone made a good point if he wants to be taken seriously as an actor he should act in a completely different type of character. That said I don't know about his acting as I've never seen HSM

I think Johnny Depp is more suited for L. As for Kira, maybe, just maybe by a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllll long shot and I emphasize maybe again Zac can play Kira. But definately not one of my first picks.

Ugh... I don't even know how to respond to this. I have a very bad feeling about this. Why can't they just leave Death Note alone?

Right now, I sort of wish that Death Notes were real and that I had one.

someone a little younger than johnny depp for L, but definately a similar person. his face as edwards scissorhands would be perfect, i decree. I'd like too see someone tall and lanky as light, kinda like the joker (in the comics, not jack nickolson)
