The thriller element was pretty good though I'm not really fond of the "girls with swords" found in the OP, it just won't with me given the setting of the story...

And I would like it if they can make the delusions a bit more "unclear"

Originally I was somewhat excited for this, given that it's a madhouse psychological thriller, but after a little bit of exposure I'm really not all that impressed.

The series has a few flaws, girls with swords and all that aside there's a bit of a fundamental problem in that it strongly tries to mix a harem along with the horror. In Higurashi, for example, the somewhat idyllic portions only served to make the horror more disturbing, but here it really just detracts from it as you end up feeling that you're watching two different shows at the same time.

I'll watch it anyway, but it's definitely not anywhere close to the top of my list for this season.

I don't usually watch any psychological or horror type stuff, but I like cute anime girls so I gave this a try.

I was impressed with the first episode. Just the sort of offbeat series that appeals to me. I kinda wish it actually was like the opening, as I rather like stuff like that, but it was good regardless. Definitely a unique spin on the typical visual-novel harem story. One of the series new this season I'm most excited to see where it leads.
