the manga was actually really good, so the anime hopefully is just as good.

I've just seen the first episode. The animation was pretty good and it mostly followed the story of the manga except for one thing. Kitakomatsu isn't concerned about Shigure using him as a toy at all, in fact, they never talked about it.

Apparently, there will be another episode which comes out in January. The first episode covers chapters 1 to 4 so I assume the second one covers 5, 6 and perhaps the extra chapter.
