I would rather an author not write any female characters than to write female characters that exist solely to be sexualized/be the girlfriend. That said, I would find it incredibly annoying and lazy if there wasn’t at least some vague plot reason for the lack of female characters. 4cq48
Yes I can bear, also It would be nicer than now, many girl characters on shounen series used for fan-services, you know.

Yeah, I've been reading Blue Lock for months now. It's a sports manga; football (soccer). It only has one female character so far and isn't even shown all that much in the manga. She like appears every now and then (like every 10-15 chapters). It's at 126 chapters right now and it hasn't really introduced any important female character. (There's zero romance in the manga, unless you wanna count bromance). 🤣
i read and watch anything with a good storyline

Yes, it's totally better than having a girl token character or just background characters that randomly provide echi scenes when the writing quality drops or milk out the series with filler chapters without any plot advance doing tokenism .

I’d rather have no girls over badly written ones tbh. Especially when those just end up being forced romance or ecchi

Uff... May be. If the manga is good i could overlook that, but i prefer to see a girl (not turned on some romantic/drama with big protagonism on scene).

idc. I would rather no girls than girls that only exist to be sexualized and not even bothered to be written as characters. I do WISH there were more shounen/seinen with female MCS tho. Some great action/adventure with a female MC not sexualized like the male MCS would be nice.

agreeing with above, I get really sick of fan-service characters or terribly written female characters so sometimes I'd rather read one with none if the author can't write a woman without being sexist

Absolutely not. mindless violence and manga is bad enough, and anybody complaining about fan service in a manga that's exclusively mindless violence are out of their mind. The only thing that makes mindless violence manga even remotely tolerable is if there is at least one main female character. Children might like manga that is written to get your heart rate up and requires little to no brain power or attention span to enjoy, but I am not like that. Not without some eye-candy to take the turd taste out of my mouth after watching that crap.
