I'm not really trying to or anything, but I would have liked to be told about it; I ended up at Barnes and Nobel by accident and saw a flyer. 5vs2l

so I just wanted to say something to anyone who buys stuff when they get serialized...

the store also has free posters for SAO, Durarara!, Akame ga Kill, some final fantasy poster I haven't hear of, and a Hatsune Miku poster (o_O?) and Kodensha and VIZ samplers filled with mostly series' we're already reading from here lol~

also, sorry to international people who don't live near a barnes and noble (it's a book store, though you can B2G1 on their website too, if you like 😛 )

google manga mania for details...

I got a good haul -^_^-

They sell old and recent DC/Marcel Comics, they also sell English translated comics from countries like , Canada, , and Italy. They even sell the latest English manga series with the same offer of by 2 get one free. If Barnes & Nobles just started doing this type of selling method, then they are late to the party at my area of Four Square, New York.

Do Barnes & Nobles even hold comic/manga conventions? They should if they ever want to be seen as more than just a franchise library you buy books from.

yeah~~
I was a bit disappointed, honestly~
online said there would be activities and a drawing and giveaways, but really just just dumped the posters and samplers on a table by the door ^_^;;;;
I mean... I didn't expect it to be like the harry potter midnight releases when I was a kid,,, but... come on!
In their defense, not tons of ppl came~ so it would have been wasted lol
I'm not particularly social, so I didn't particularly care that it wasn't a convention

also~~ it's not like they don't do sales from time to time, they had a Viz B2G1 around christmas, I just wanted people to know that one is happening now

I wouldn't call it a library... since it doesn't you know... have books you can check out..?
more like just a book store. and they killed Borders some years ago, so they're not doing bad, I think :3
and unlike BAM! I can order whatever manga I want, have it shipped to their store and still get my 10% member discount. which is nice~♪

On a side note, New York is really cultured D: I don't know of any places in Akron, Ohio where you can buy a manga in anything but English...

but isn't Canadian Manga just... you know either English or French?
also, they have western comics and stuff, I just never cared about them... their art style is a bit annoying to me, and I rarely see any that the bechdel test... if you have recommendations let me know~
