Anyway, I a plot where:

One or several "kids" with psychic power (from protagonist side) is missing .
They were abducted and imprisoned in this fully guarded, hidden laboratory base.
A team of several psychic-able person including the protagonist were then set on rescue mission.

I think they went by a car? anyway they managed to find the base undetected.
Some stay in the ?car? or outside to secure the way in, while the rest infiltrate the lab including protagonist.
Inside they went separate way on different path, each path was guarded by psychic of the enemy.
One of the enemies, I , having full control over large monsters from his lab.
I also , from the abducted party, one has control over fire and managed to create chaos from within the labs by setting the room ablaze.

Long story short, the protags and another one confront the strongest enemy
this main enemy is also a kid, seems pretty talented and dangerous.
However in the middle of the fight, he got called by his ?supervisor? (by phone) and was told to flee, and off he goes - battle ends.
In this battle, the protags seems able to set off a new skill, the protags partner seemed to be amazed by this.

I cannot recall anything beyond that, and seems like it was not in my completed list.
