Another poll that was suggested by Di27...So how would you like your manga done in of colors vs. black and white? Just to tell you, the first and last options are the rare ones that occur in real life. As with most things, the middle options that are most present. 33172

I think, it's obvious everything in color is best, the only reason it doesn't happen much. Is because of the printing cost and the extra work.

Seconded, I don't see why you'd actually prefer it in black and white, it's just easier to make.

Rumiko did some gorgeous color illustrations for her Mermaid series, I've never forgotten them. If all manga could be in full color all the time I think that would be wonderful. But some artists work best in black and white so, hmm. Anyway, I voted for the first option.

Everything in color usually ends up looking kind of awekard though. I don't think the typical manga art style really lends itself to color well.

Yeah, Rumiko Takahashi did a full-color volume one of Ranma 1/2.

I actually agree... Everything in color gives me kind of a headache sometimes.

Couldn't care less about studying art. I go by what looks good, and full color manga looks pretty weird to me, and apparently the majority.

uh, I guess that was directed at me? I was replying to those who want manga to be all in colour. I agree with you, full colour manga will look terrible for most mangas.

I think whatever was originally in color should stay in color. That's just my prefferance. ^^;

No, it was supposed to be directed at revilenigma's post right below this one. Sometimes the reply links get kind of smushed together in Opera, if you change the default page zoom :/

Wish this had an edit button :/ never mind the names are messed up also, heh. Yes, it was directed at your post because I interpreted it as meaning "artists should study art so they can do color better" or something.

Logistically it's probably impossible, but we're talking ideals here.
