Fruits Basket is one of my favourite manga... It took me some time to decide on this one, but I loved it the first moment I set eyes on chapter 1... and even though I love the other mentioned manga as well (with just a few exceptions - some titles I haven't heard of), furuba was my first. ^^ 5ui3t

Either Ouran or Skip Beat winning is good for me - as long as overrated series like Furuba and VK don't. Most people voting Furuba or VK are OBVIOUSLY just voting for it because those are the ONLY series out of those in the poll they've read.

I hate Naruto - but if a poll had 38538 other series I'd never heard of, and Naruto, I would vote Naruto if I HAD to vote. Of course, if I didn't, I would abstain and check some of the others in the poll before voting.

Actually, I've also read Skip Beat. The reason why I voted for Furuba is because it's actually finished. It may be overated, but I loved the series. Skip Beat is my favorite manga, but I had to vote for Furuba because the completeness left me fulfilled.

I also hate Fruits Basket. I read it thinking "oh, must be good". I was disappointed. I read the first 5 volumes, nothing special. But I kept reading, thinking it MUST get better to have so much love. I read to Volume 8, where the anime ends. Um- that was it? o_O Nothing special. Why was the anime so popular if the story until there was so shitty? Saint Tohru PISSED me off. No human like that exists. Too unrealistic. Like, wow. I wanted to kill her. I wanted her to SCREAM AND YELL. Not FORGIVE. Yell "NO, FUCK YOU" instead of forgiving them. DJGHJDGDDGD assplodes

VK is also overrated. =/ Nothing special about it. Yuki is falling into the "typical heroine" more and more... ugh. I did the same thing as I did with Furuba... read cause I thought it got better. Lies. I was bored. The artwork is all that makes it good. =/

Angel Sanctuary though... man, I love that. n.n Along with Skip Beat. No gay-ass heroine to go with it. I love Yoshiki Nakamura's series. T is amazing.

Why isn't it here? =/ Why aren't classics like Red River and Basara in this poll?

People voting Vampire Knight and Fruits Basket have obviously not read the greater ones in this poll, and are completely biased.

It's just like kiddies with Naruto. And the way I was with Inuyasha. I watched Inuyasha as a kid, thinking "HODAMN AMAZING" but when I watched superior & better animes... it really showed how bad Inuyasha really was.

Same case here. So instead of voting, why don't you abstain and go read some better series? It's an insult to those better series out there.

I love smut. I love reading smut, it's enjoyable. HOWEVER, I don't think it's the best out there just because I love it so much damn. I like smut over Skip Beat! and Ouran, but that doesn't change my opinion that SB & OHSHC >>>>>>> smut. It's just like Harry Potter - I prefer HP over Shakespeare, but that doesn't mean it's BETTER [yes, I'm referring to the JKR=Shakespeare topic].

What I'm trying to say is... just because you prefer a genre over another doesn't mean it's BETTER.

No, to be blunt, it's not. "smutty/slutty shoujo girls" are better - you know why? Because they are MORE realistic than a SAINT like Tohru. There's more chances for a girl to become slut/whiny/bitchy etc etc than becoming a complete Saint like Tohru. Not saying those girls aren't annoying... but at least they're more realistic. -_-

Tohru is so... AGH. Why must she forgive? I'm sure Takaya was trying to make Tohru good and nice and whatever, but seriously... Tohru is like, the complete opposite of a human being. I like reading "smutty shoujo girls" over "Saintly Tohru" because IT'S MORE REALISTIC. Tohru was this perfect little angel that seemed to solve all the problems she walked into. I mean, come on... the thing with Akito totally blew me off. 😐 Why was she the one to change Akito after many others had tried? Why was she the one to suddenly "fix" all the Sohma problems? Why oh why? She's human. Human's get angry. They express their anger. It's in our nature. It's basically impossible to do all that Tohru did. -_- I could never fix things up between one of the Sohmas, let alone the whole family. =/

I like relating to the characters I read. I can not relate one bit to Tohru. Because all she does is contrast me, and show me how selfish & ungrateful I am compared to her. And I don't like my flaws being exposed like that.

...I probably didn't make much sense up there. But eh, what can you do? >_>

• This is a manga tournament, not a poll to vote for the best shoujo, that means that even if the title is excelent if it´s not well known it won´t the group elimination.
• I prefer=I like it more than=in my opinion it´s better than.
• The people voting are stating their opinion and so do you, so if you don´t like how the elimination is going you don´t have rights to bash other people´s opinion based just on your opinion.
• Manga is fiction, so why hate a character becouse she/he is an unrealistic character? we are talking about a manga where there are people who turn onto animals when they touch people of the opposite gender!.
