If you're going to read this, look for the original uncensored releases that came out back in the 90's. Recent releases of the series are censored. 6t313s

EDIT: Decided to do some digging and, it appears, that the censorship made in the recent releases have been "at Shirow's request." So, I decided to do some digging, to see if this really is the guy's views, and came across an article detailing how Shirow stated that he received "flak" for the original material in the series. Now, there is no source for that claim, so I did some more digging and came to the Wiki/internet encyclopedia pages with an actual source to the claim. However, and here's the kicker, the ENTIRE source of the claim is a "copied" blogpost of another blogpost that was made prior to 1996, with the writer of the "original" blogpost being creditted as the Dark Horse translator. But, wait, there's more. The oldest archive made of the "copied" blogpost was made on October 22, 1999. Meanwhile, the oldest archive of the supposed "original" blogpost page was made on April 24, 2001. But, that isn't all, the actual site that the "original" blogpost was made on was dedicated solely to video games and programming material based on the oldest archive made back on December 30, 1996.

However, despite all this information being presented, there is also the fact that Greaseberries 4 (Published on June 9, 2019) and a contribution made to COMIC Anthurium 2019-07.

So, with all this information in play, it looks like we have another Ghost Stories on our hands. Where the Western companies are doing their best to gatekeep and control the release of series, and to publish only the stories THEY want told (Both fictional and reality).
