What happened here? I liked the story, but suddenly BANG, the end.Author illness? Axed? Moving elsewhere? 2j39o

Axed.... though seems more like planned axing..... instead of smoothing the ending - since he knew that it will end 3-4 chapters sooner - author sort of made it intentionaly sudden and sharp to make sure we wonder whether she survived or not.... right? =^^=
at least that's the impression i've got.
