Hi, I was just re-reading Hybrid Child, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend me something similar or something that has made you cry before when reading it (the story that made me cry in Hybrid Child is the one involving the dollmaker and his deceased childhood friend)? I know that's a sort of broad request and that different things make different people cry, but I figure it's worth a shot to ask. XD 6c5r6b

I read a lot of things: shoujo, josei, shounen-ai, yaoi, shoujo-ai, yuri.... some seinen, and not much shounen, but if you think it fits the above topic, then go ahead and recommend it.

Oh, and other manga that I like and has fit this category:
Eien no With--I am such a sucker for dogs... XD
Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan--actually, anything by Yumeka Sumomo is <3
Pieta--I don't actually if this one made me cry, but I still felt it was a very moving manga...
Kagen no Tsuki--Haven't read this one in a long time, so I don't it the best, but I do that it made me cry too.

I have only cried to one manga (though there are some that almost did) and that on is Psychic Acadamey. It was the last 3 pages that got me. 🙁

hey, i recommend (1) sand chronicles : very sad, cried quite a bit. art is somewhat lacking though, however overall reaction was amazing (2) lovely complex: this was actually a comedy but there were a couple sad parts (3) bokura ga ita : amazing storyline and very sad.

Kimi ga Uso o Tsuita -- The relationship between the main characters made me cried.
Fruits Basket -- This one made me cry a lot. It's a must read if you want to cry!
Pluto -- Sad story between humans and robots.

Second Fruits Basket. Especially when it touched upon the rabbit's story.

Others to add (in no particular order):
Moe Kare!! - it was the end, along with the Christmas scene that got me.
Ryou - the saddest part was when Benkei loses his memory.
Tista - made me tear up at the end, but I didn't really cry. It's not that sort of manga, tho....
Ayashi no Ceres - again, it was near the middle and the end. But when I read it again....I couldn't feel anything...
Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden - made me tear up when I read the part about the illness. Didn't really make me cry.
Utahime - art is breathtaking, but it only made me tear up.

kitchen princess made me cry a little at one part
[spoiler]when they kill off sora and sora says that he lied because he loved her and wanted to be her "flan prince"[spoiler]

saiyuki gaiden is sad at the end as well. it's enough to make anyone cry, the last set of chapters

ame nimo mayuwanai is a one-shot shounen ai. it is extremely sweet, and extremely sad

the friend is mistaken for someone else and is killed. this happens almost immediately after he confesses to his love, keisuke, and keisuke decides to accept him when he returns.

Birthday -Shounen ai one-shot.. so sad. A great story about terminal illness and life.

Deep Love - Ayu no Monogatari and the rest of the Deep Love series- Really tragic love. About an very ill and poor young prostitute that saves all her money to save the man she loves.

Nabari no Oh - The whole situation with Yoite was very sad.

He lived such a sad life, and it was depressing to see him in constant pain. The main character was also convinced he could help him, which made it even sadder.

7 Seeds - The Ryuugu arc, Winter arc and the Summer A arc all made me cry. This manga-ka is really good at making you teary even when you know what's coming.

Not what you'd want to read but really sad anyway:
Bradherley no Basha really really sad. About girls who are promised a job as an opera star, than given as sacrificial lambs to prisoners at a penitentiary. (warning! adult)

These are the slightly angsty ones:
Tenshi nanka janai
Ze
White & Black
Totally Captivated
Overdose

A really tragic one I recommend: A Night of A Thousand Dreams
😢

Any of the Deep Love series are extremely sad and made me cry.

Also recommend 100% Gokuama Kareshi Story 3 HOLE - Kirameku Sekai (Takahashi Rie). It's a oneshot and the ending made me cry.

The ending for Sensei, Daisuki Na Hito. is sad too.
