But is there really romance in it? Or is it just little short spouts of romantic [or potentially romantic] scenes? Does it have a romance that is there but not a major part of the story like Gantz? Or is it more like all the shounen stories where the Main Hero and Main Herione hint at each other for the whole series and nothing ever happens? 1s6a4t

Or is it like the series is about bugs and fighting, but there are short stories that have romance in them inbetween the killing, and usually those are the ones that die first...

Which one is it?

There is some romantic feelings floating in the air, but considering the settings, romance takes a backseat to the action/conflict/politic in the manga. Bonds are made, but a cockroach infested planet does not make a good place to go further than realizing their feelings.

The Gantz comparison is good but there is no leading couple in Terra Formars as the series never picks a true protagonist. A lot of the characters are driven by romantic love (the first lead for example or the protagonist of the prototype chapter), the cast is gender balanced and the cliche is inverted a bit here and there. A lot of the romance subplots are in the constant flashbacks btw. but happy ending are rare with the series body count and the high amount of self sacrifices. The romance tag makes sense to me but it can be removed if the genre if it isn´t vocal enough. The rest fit 100%.

Edit: I looked at the categories and my Romantic Subplot/Multiple Romances got a +3 while Subtle Romance now went negative so there you have it.
Some are married btw. and a recent chapter had an interesting revaluation regarding a main characters heritage so it´s not all doom and gloom.
