The polls is far from clear.
I thought it meant stopped reading, regardless of intention to return to.
I answered accordingly, with "101-500", where I would have chosen "10-50", if I knew it was about series you don't intent to continue.
There's a bit of a difference.

200k+ series ed on MU. ~800 series in my "wait until finished or axed or whatever" list, ~same number of completed.
So, still 200k+ I started at least to read the description and stopped 🙂 Didn't count the number I glanced through first chapter, but surely 1k+.
PS: still waiting for ability to hide manhwa, manhua and such non-Japanese stuff.

Currently, I have around 3600 manga in my reading list mmm...
Among that I probably only actively read less than 200, whether because the manga not updated anymore or because I just don't really read them anymore mmm...

I kinda want to visit some of the older completed one and complete it, but it's way harder the older I get mmm...

I will change this world mmm...

I finished reading over a thousand... I definitely dropped more than a hundred of them, but definitely not at 500 yet...

20 anime and 142 manga dropped at the moment. If manga doesn't hook me in first 5-15 chapters I'll drop it. I always worry that I drop to much manga, but in the end my drop rate is less than 15%, so no big deal.

Its a personal kirk of mine but i drop nothing.
However, there are cases, where i caught up, or start reading other series too, where i forgot im reading the other one, until i discover it again. Same with anime.
So while i can forget im reading a specific work, i never conciously drop anything

501-1k

Around 500 series just on MU. I don't like dropping series but I have to be real with the amount of stories (movies, tv, books, comics, games) that exist; I can not be spending time on something that no longer interest me or I have some problem with the storytelling/dialogue.

Though, just because I dropped it, doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the series. Sometimes you just grow up. (I do wonder if there is an age correlation between the poll results.)

Sometimes I lie to myself and say I'll get back to the story later when more chapters come, but I never do.

It used to be hardly any back when I was younger with more free time. Now, I can't even count how many I dropped since I've recently developed a habit of not ing what I'm reading until I make it past like a 20-chapter milestone (owing to the deluge of webtoons with short, nothing chapters), so there's probably hundreds of series I dropped without moving past, like, chapter 15 that I've never recorded down.

As it might have been stated by other s, this poll doesn't mention about the titles that I intend to read again someday..

There are 139 title I put on hold and 44 on my unfinished list. So there are 188 titles recorded.. But actually, there are more lol. It's usually the new series that I read only for 20 chapters at maximum then I left it (not even worth to put it on my MU list).

But for these 139 titles I put on hold, I really intend to continue reading it if it has completed.

I definitely have more than 1k dropped series I didn't bother finishing. Why suffer through it if it's boring as hell?
