New Poll - Underrepresented Geographical Area k5d4c

In general I’m not reading manga/wha/hua or comics for representation, but if we’re going to see characters that are not natives of the comic’s country of origin, then I’d like to see more Hispanics (mainly or especially Mexicans that are not stereotypes). I think the option “North America” needed to have the exception “except the US” because besides Asians, Europeans (mostly Brits or Germans) the most common other characters are American. Because North America implies the US as well, some people might not have voted for North America even if they’d like to see more Canadians or Mexicans. 3k2j18

Why are West Africa, Central Africa, and East Africa left out? These are among the least represented regions in manga and anime so this is kind of silly when a region with as few people as Antarctica was allowed as an option, and regions that are pretty well represented like Western Europe are also allowed.
Just in case there's any confusion on what North Africa and South Africa refers to, South Africa is just the one country at the bottom of the continent. North Africa typically includes Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco. By excluding the rest of Africa, almost 50 countries aren't ed for.
Was this for the sake of space? Antarctica could've been left out since there's no indigenous people, it's just researchers from other regions. The Middle East and North Africa could've been combined as per common practice (MENA).
And yes, I made this just to complain about this poll.

Rather than west or east Europe, I'd like to see northern or southern Europe. They keep being included in "west" but they're very different and keep being overlooked ^^' West Europe in stories is like 99% England or , maybe a little bit of but then mostly about WW2...
This life sucked. Where's the reset button?

Quote from YuriM
I never saw South Korea even mentioned in Japanese manga. Is there any?
Well they generally just say "Korea" but yeah there are a decent handful lol. Someone mentioned Hikaru no Go but the most recent example I can think of is Bambino (Secondo).
Anyway, in the absence of me feeling like anywhere is actually underrepresented, I just said Antarctica.
I've only read one manga set in the real world that actually visited Antarctica (Kimi wa 008) and it didn't even mention the research stations hosted there by multiple different countries.
There aren't many manga that would have a reason to visit antarctica, but one manga I can think of that could make a visit interesting would be Q.E.D., as he could have any number of research motivations for the visit, and a murder mystery set in the icy wasteland a kilometer from the nearest research station would be truly interesting, as the freezing conditions would make time of death EXTREMELY ambiguous.
I had a friend from college (MIT) that spent a 6 month rotation right after graduation at a research base in Antarctica, seemed cool
