The battles depicted in this manga is quick, unusual for shounen manga which usually has drawn out battles 4s3oi

But i prefer this kind of battle, rather than long drawn out battle

logically speaking, a battle is supposed to go like that, no matter how elite of a soldier you are, a single bullet can kill you, a surprise or sneak attack can kill you easily. Even if you have superpowered weapon, as long as you are human you can kick the bucket that easily as well.

Injuries persist. Unlike other shounen mangas which the character won't die unless they are full of holes, in this manga simply by being slammed to a wall one can dies.

to me this manga is the peak of epicness

Manga examples for this classification :

  • Quick : Akame ga Kill!, Zippy Ziggy, Needless

  • Normal : Fairy Tail, Negima, The Breaker/NW

  • Long, Drawn Out : One Piece, Naruto, ID

Prolonged battles resulting from a character regenerative properties is excepted

For the most part, the characters of this series fight to kill which combined with the mortal nature of these characters (poison actually kills them, a bullet impacting vital organs seriously stifles their movements) makes for rather speedy encounters. And I love this aspect of the series. I mean seriously, 50 chapter battles can go die a horrible death for all I care,

I love how this author composes his story so that bullet wounds and poison (mentioned in another post) actually kill the characters!

The battles in this manga are really good and the art is fantastic. The story moves pretty fast for the battles. It's interesting and he kills of characters related to the main character.

I like quick battles the most. That said, a little bit of drama is necessary to avoid making everything look like a curb stomp fight; so "Normal" length battles are good to.

That said, long-drawn out fights piss me off unless its REALLY done well. (If a fight takes up an entire volume, its automatically crap.)

Yes, overall this manga is EPIC

the only issue I have with it is the "monster" part. Those monsters should be given more screen time, since they are the base of teigu after all

also, differs from the rest battle manga. power level exists but obscured, it doesn't necessarily means stronger always beat weaker, carelessness can result in injuries, etc.
and also plot armor is rarely used, unlike that crap Kamijou Touma

-the latest chapter depicts monsters

I really dont want to make a new topic,so I will ask here:
Is the manga doing well in of sales and ratings in Japan? There are lot of rumours on the inteenet stating that the manga is going to be axed or something along those lines.....
I am very well aware that Akame ga Kiru have always had a fast pace in of plot developments but the talks on net makes me feel uneasy.....

On topic: Short and meaningfull battles are always more welcomed than annoying 100 chapter fights with no meaning or sense involved in it .
