I'm looking for any mangas that suddenly have a profound/beautiful/lyrical moment and it catches you off guard because you didn't expect it from that type of manga/etc 15y1l

Legend of Nereid had this part where a character is thinking to herself 'he is screaming and wailing inside his heart' or something but it was a really lyrical sentence and really got me.i didn't expect that from a hwang mi rhi manhwa.

There's also a couple of moments in Bleach too.(like ulquiorra's death)

So any kind of manga is okay. But if you recommend any please don't tell me when the moment/s are because I like it to be a surprise 🙂

Sugar wa otoshigoro I found it sort of beautiful how she viewed a prostitute's role and managed to present them in a more poetic manner. 🤣

These are all series that you would think are just made more for laughs with more-or-less naive protagonists, but looks can be deceiving:

If you want to know where the moments are on any of them, then ask me.

Very much seconding Vampire Juujikai - the manga is practically one huge off-guard-catching moment. 😃

Also Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle - many plot twist and turns, many emotional moments that take all your breath away.

Really? Off guard? No. But I guess you can call it lyrical.

I'll rec Shingeki no Kyojin.

well, it was more like i didn't expect something lyrical from a fighting shounen manga about shinigamiXD which is what caught me off guard.

thanks everyone! i'll try all the recommendations 🙂

12 O'Clock Bell Rings. This had an unexpected ending and some sort of moral at the end. Though it's a one shot.

For an extremely beautiful and lyrical moments, I'm partial to recommending anything by Yumeka Sumomo. Like...

Kon no Ki Konoha
Hoshi no Koe

And the Liar Game caught me off-guard because one scene struck me as unusually profound and unexpected. It is when Akiyama explain his ideas on trust and doubt to Nao.
