A sad and beautiful little story, I think with a psychological tag in it. 583110

A man comes home for his father's funeral and the story is about his memories and thoughts and such. His father was an "eccentric" man who basically adopted and raised a boy to become his lover, and the boy basically snapped one day and killed him, and has been left in a catatonic (?) state since then.

The son thinks about how he saw the boy when they were children and how he had feelings for this sad beautiful orphan and about how he ran away from all these issues by going to school far away. He then resolves not to run away any more and the last page or so shows how the boy regains consciousness and smiles at him. It's so sad and sweet. ;-;

This might have been part of a collection of stories, I'm not sure.

Oh, there's another one I'm looking for, fairly certain this was in a collection of oneshots.

A man (I think he was a writer?) returns to his hometown and bumps into a friend/acquaintance he had in school. People used to be afraid or intimidated by this person because he was fair or sickly? And there's something about a building that people were afraid of.

It's probably not Shiosai based on the ending you mentioned, but you'll probably really like this oneshot anyway. =)
