A bit boring, but I chose warrior. In RPGs, fighters have the largest range of weapons and armors to choose from and they're very robust. x4q6l

Being a magic-based class seems like a pain with how easily they die, despite the crazy damage they do.

Then there are the classes like Clerics and Warlocks which usually require some sort of religion or particular alignment. (Of course, I'm referencing D&D type games.) The appeal of a fallen paladin wears off after awhile.

I suppose there's thief/assassin, but having to constantly do hidden attacks is tiresome. They're also somewhat weak.

This is an interesting question because it really depends. If I have my actual mentality from RL then I'm choosing a mage class (Summoner, Wizard, or Elemental Mage) b/c I don't want to have to fight up close and personal, I'd probably freak out like the kids from that anime Hai to Gensou no Grimgar.

If I was able to block that out and adapt to the mentality of the video game (no fear) then I'd want to be a Druid b/c you have a lot of different abilities with the added bonus of having magic, healing abilities, a familiar to summon, and melee combat abilities. I imagine it would be the one class suited to surviving above the other classes available.

Where's my Arcane Archer? Meh, would go with Elemental Mage or Ranger then.

My answer or respond to the poll are assumed to be in a world without the game restrictions. Which means i am not stuck in a battle function like I'm facing my opponents waiting for them to attack me or wait for my turn! I can dodge at the time i want and attack at the time i want and is capable of canceling a skill in mid cast. I can go to the surrounding and use it as my advantage.

My preferred class(es) are Cleric(priest) and/or Assassin because i prefer intelligent and agility type of classes.

To be honest I'm actually very surprised to see Cleric as the average and median choice of pepz! I seriously thought people will choose those power tanks classes rather than the classes.

I want to be a Cleric for the healing and boosting ability despite being a melee and having low defense(based on the games i played and weapons this class is often associated with). I trully WISH to be of help on other people in the group or the world itself. However being a class, I definitely need to be on a party. I just hope being a Cleric is not totally a defenseless class. Maybe even an attack skill would be great even only one. Anyway, Clerics or Priests are always associated with the abilities of healing, boosting and resurrection and in a world wherein magic and everything is present. A resurrection SKILL (not the law of the world) probably exists however a taboo. I donno if I'm making sense but it's kinda like the world may not allow its inhabitants to resurrect automatically like it would do in games however resurrecting people through its inhabitant's skill is (somehow) different (for me). Hmm... Maybe it will not be necessarily a resurrection SKILL but more like a time reversion skill...

Assassin class if i lose all my concern on other pepz and went solo. For me, I see Assassin class as a solo class. Low attack, medium defense, high agility. That actually is one of my ideal character build up but rpg games that i played just kills how they set up assassin class. (In a world state not with the game restrictions) Assassins mostly blends in with shadows and are silent predator. I'll gladly choose fast multiple weak attacks than a slow one strong attack with i can dodge easily. And on the plus side, Assassin class have a big chance to be associated with poison. In a real world, poison don't vanish away for mere seconds its stays until you are given antidote.

My favorite classes are always those with good buffs and the ability to be played alone too, though the best I've ever seen was WoW's shaman. That's most likely what I'd choose, or maybe simply an alchemist without any fighting skills.

i would most likely go for a spellsword type, relatively competent with both sword and magic but not great at any, using one to complement the other, but since there is none in the poll, or at least i didnt recognize any, i went with paladin, since its close but with holy powers instead of arcane magic

I'd have picked Ranger for practicality, but I'm assuming that there will be other players and I won't have to entirely fend for myself.

So I picked Bard -- they can do a little of everything and are so much fun to play.

FYI my name is from Baldur's Gate II.

You fools! Cleric is the obvious choice, so you can heal yourself, and you'll be picked first for dungeons!
