48 Chapters + Prologue (Complete)

Not my cup of tea, it felt like two or three different genres were being forced together, Like a poorly made chimaera.
After reading some spoilers about the novel, I think I don't really like the way manhwa version concluded. It started off promisingly, but went down till the end. Some chapters were even hard to read because I was frustrated with the characters.
The story started off good. I love how whipped the ML is for the FL and enjoy reading about the chase. Unfortunately, other than that, I don't really care for any of the other subplots. The whole politics thing takes a huge chunk of the storyline and I just cannot care about the crown prince enough. Artwork is okay. I feel the style is more suited for shounens than a romantic shoujo story. Despite it being less than 50 chapters, I feel it drag towards the end.
No love rivals (so far), a decent start, and an interesting backstory. They make a cute couple! It may have some cliches but it's all the right kind, so I'm looking forward to seeing where the author takes it.
2nd review at chapter 9:
So past me only said good things, but the main con of this story for me is that it's definitely shoujo and for a younger audience - the kinds of issues the female lead is having are that of wanting to eat chocolate cake but being afraid of seeming like "other women" when she's a knight and knights don't like sweet things. That gives you an idea about the depth of the story.
But! Honestly the fact that it's already completed and only about 50 chapters suggests that it has good pacing, and the male lead is sweet and sincere so even if he doesn't have much else of a personality I'm still enjoying his scenes. The focus on romance (all that the prince cares about despite being a prince lol) is nice too, so continuing to read this one.
1st review at chapter 4:
ive parents (even if they're not really present), a good sibling relationship, a very strong and independent FL, and a ML and prince who both seem a tad annoying but are otherwise alright - this has all the makings of a good story!
