I didn't want to review this before I had finished reading the series, but upon seeing AquarianDemocrat's comment I felt like I had to say something. 5c162b
A few of AquarianDemcrocat's comments make sense if you're looking at this manga through a strictly Western, and modern, sense of ethics/morals and are not willing to keep an open mind about the culture you're reading about. I'm not defending slavery...
I adore v. 1-3, and the art style is just amazing.
I really like v. 4 but it is such a different story that is so much darker. The focus is not on the two main leads from the first three volumes, but on the guys who basically drew one of the main leads into a life of crime. Some of the things you'll read include:
Selling Children/Child Slavery
Rape
Revenge
and since it's basically another story...
Here's a rewrite of my previous comment that was deleted:
RiddleChloe's interpretation is valid and mine has started moving that way as well as of chapter 43. On the other hand her comment belittling readers who enjoy this is rude if not inappropriate.
Anyway back to the manhwa, the biggest issue with it is its handling/use of rape in the story. First off the male lead, Siwoon/Woojin,
watches...
