Ahh this was really made for me. I love cooking, so the cooking sections I really find quite interesting. If there's a specific dish I am not interested in, it's laid out in a manner which makes it easy to skip. Aside from the food, the interpersonal relationships are great. Not just the couple, but the family, friends and coworkers I all found interesting and endearing in their own ways. This is... 621u2k

Miyamoto Kano's stories always leave me with sort of a wistful feeling. Even her more cheerful ones. This hasn't been any different in that respect. I do agree with others that it felt as though there was a lot of build-up, but the finale itself felt sort of lacking somehow. As for complaints about Shiki's behavior, I don't really share the same feelings. Humans are wonderfully diverse and so are...

This may be an author who you either get or you don't get. Everything she touches is gold, for me. I don't enjoy the stuff that most seem to, and this is different, funny, clever, and well-paced in an outside of the box kind of way. Nothing bad to say. Also a huge fan of her artwork.

I'm so confused as to how someone could not enjoy this. I loathe incest(or incest-like) stories for the most part, but this is gold. The characters are so well fleshed out. They're truly whole beings and not cliche at all. I love that Shoowa neither neuters nor overly fetishizes her characters, and that they are allowed actual sex lives, complex thoughts, and multiple partners without it being...

This is one of my favorites for some reason. There isn't a lot of dialogue and the drawings tell the story, which is gentle and calm. Tsubaki is super cute.

I really hope someone will pick this up and finish scanlating it(and its sequel)!! I know it may not have as broad an appeal as some series, but it's unique and lovely in it's own right.

v.1 c.12

I have really enjoyed this so far. The pacing and characters are just perfect. The balance of comedy to more serious content is really great also. This is one of those series that may not be so unique on paper, but ends up being something really special. I have volumes one and two and hope they continue to be released!

This was mostly on the entertaining side of average for me, but there are some very funny moments. One in particular made me SQUEAL with laughter. Definitely worth a read if you're looking for something light hearted and amusing, perhaps not if you're looking for something truly heartwarming.

Ahh this was cuter than I expected. The story and art were just ok for me, but I really love Natsume. He's very charming, humble and genuine. I would love to have seen him fleshed out just a bit more and given a story which has more to it. Very sweet all the same.

This is what I prefer from Ootsuki Miu. No rape. None. Not even a little. Of course it is pretty flowery, but not excessively typical either. I like the characters and there is good tension. It is, of course, nothing groundbreaking(this is Ootsuki Miu we're dealing with). The whole thing is a bit unrealistic and silly. It's not bad for a bit of fluff though.

I have only read two of the chapters, but I can't say they particularly thrilled me. I wasn't a fan of the art style at all(mostly because it was bad. Lumpy, weird muscles, oversized hands...not my thing). They were vaguely kink oriented, but I much prefer the style of people like watanabe asia if that's what I'm aiming for. This was just sort of tepid. I will say that for oneshots, the two...

This is a hard one for me to rate. Most of the stories ARE well written and they all have wonderful, expressive art, but most of them are pretty disappointing. The religious aspect is largely silly, with priests openly discussing their romantic relationships as if it's nothing/etc. I had gone in to this in the beginning with hope for a deeper exploration of the emotional complexities of such a...

This was very sweet, and unique enough to be interesting. I don't think I was as blown away by it as most seem to be, but it was an enjoyable read. I don't think it spent enough time on any one time frame for me to become that emotionally invested. By the ending, I wasn't emotionally demolished like I have been with some other full life series(like complex) because I didn't feel I really knew the...

I don't understand all the good reviews at all. This is written ok, the art is just average, but the story is lame and cliche. Teacher is in "love" at first sight with a student? It was just so forced and did not have a realistic vibe at all, nor was it terribly funny(I don't mind if something is a bit ridiculous if it's funny). What am I missing here?

v.1 c.52
6

Starts off good, but then just devolves in to a bunch of drama surrounding a relationship I just couldn't get emotionally involved in. It was better as smut, and I don't say that about many series. The smut was A+, the drama was meehhhh.

I swore I'd never read this as I absolutely loathe junjou romantica, but my boredom one night forced me to reconsider. I will say, it's not quite as awful as JR, but I wouldn't call it good either. It is your archetypical, tired trope laden yaoi. Most of the couples have one character who is your standard tsundere type to an annoying degree. It just drags on and never really changes. The...

The whole thing makes me feel anxious. What others have said about the story taking a wrong turn is correct for me. It feels like some weird torture play in the least sexy way possible. This starts off mundane and silly, then develops in to something more serious and becomes a fairly decent read, before crusing straight on past the drama sweet spot and clear off the ledge. I don't think this is the worst thing ever, but it is firmly average. It is mostly just melodrama and people in crappy or straight up screwed up relationships. I'm giving this a solid 5 because it's extremely average, but this one seems to be invoking an extreme reaction for some and I just don't feel that. It wasn't super fleshed out. The characters were pretty average. But it was readable. I think the only thing making it worth anything was that the one guy was afraid of comittment in a very genuine and heartfelt way. I love this series so much. The tension is great, the artwork is gorgeous, and I love dance used as the vehicle. My main issue with it is that I find it confusing sometimes. Firstly, it jumps ALL over the place. Second, there are a great deal of side characters who aren't very fleshed out, but come up a lot and I just cannot keep track of who is who. It's like being thrown in to this world of...

Firstly, I started reading this because of the beautiful artwork. It's a bit over the top, but also extremely rich and dream-like. The world in which this takes place is full of amazing things and beautiful costuming. Underneath all that is a lot of humor, sometimes blatant and more often somewhat dry. There is definitely a story evolving in there somewhere, but it is slow to come together...

Love the author, just so-so on this particular work. I don't mind the whole setup, or even the heavier aspects of it(though she's repeated the same theme a few times now, which is weird), but I hate the pairings. This is sort of relaxed and adult, but also on the boring side. Who are these people? What am I supposed to take away from this? I don't feel as though I've learned much about that. Most of what I feel like I learned about them was in the first chapter and it hasn't progressed much since then. Ah well. Props for an adult relationship that is fairly usual, I guess. It's definitely missing something...

I agree with everything yarn said. This is light and casual. It's not outrageously funny, but it's mildly entertaining. The fanservice is minimal, and what little there is feels pretty innocent(in a "this feels like it was written by a woman" kind of way, not a creepy lolli kind of way). Not a terrible way to waste some time, but not something which will leave a big impact.

I don't hate this series at all. It's pure fluff for sure, but Yamamoto kotetsuko has well refined, expressive art and decently engaging writing. She is one of my favorites as far as fluffier stuff goes. That said, things have gotten pretty stale at this point. I don't know how many times new rivals can possibly be written in or people can be kidnapped. It probably should have ended gracefully a...

I have only read the first two chapters. So far I liked the first better than the second, but I have to say that I liked this series for almost every reason that kurosu yuuki DISliked it, which I found funny. The pace is indeed a bit fast for me, but they are short so it's not too terrible for what it is. So far this is pretty average, though I did like the first couple a lot. I don't need the...

Who in the world is giving this a low score? It must be someone trolling or else something weird happens later, because this is so sweet so far. Higa is a bit abrupt, but not abusive or anything like a lot of characters. I didn't find it to be overly slow or boring at all. I enjoy watching their chemistry develop. It has a nice, easy, realistic flow to it and doesn't feel forced.

Hmmm, this one felt strange for me. I like the love triangle aspect, but it was handled in a very strange way which didn't feel right. The whole manga was written in a very thoughtful, introspective manner, and one would expect the characters to behave realistically given the tone of it, but instead they felt very off. Hotaka was especially unnatural and was just swept along the whole time, even...

At least two of the three chapters I read had rape or near rape. Sometimes this is ok with me, but when someone is literally fighting it and saying no over and over, then they turn around and decide it was THEIR fault and that it's totally fine, it honestly gives me the chills a bit. I couldn't enjoy the second story at all because of this. Otherwise, I enjoyed the art. The stories, aside from the...

This isn't actually as bad as I thought it would be. The stories are all very done and somewhat cliche, but there is a bit of unique humor to it which keeps it interesting enough to keep reading. My biggest gripe is that the characters are somewhat flat and aren't unique enough in design.

I have mixed feelings. Honestly, there is SO little character development or background that there isn't much to say. The art is gorgeous and I enjoyed the way the characters interacted, but it felt like just the very beginning of a story. It was like PWP, but without the porn and also without the plot.

I will start by saying that I love Takaguchi Satosumi. This, however, is not my favorite so far. I don't mind incest(especially between twins. So sue me. Haha) so that was not my issue with it, instead my issue is that it's offensive. This guy(and really, both of them) is a straight up predatory rapist. I have trouble just getting over something like that. The rest of the story is sort of a giant...
